→ Meet The Founder

Hi, I’m Trevor.

Points have always been about doing things I couldn’t otherwise afford.

Overwater bungalows in The Maldives. Safari expeditions in Africa. Long weekends in Europe. Treating my parents to luxury vacations every year.

These kinds of experiences become possible with points.

I’m grateful I get to spend my time helping others also see the world.

Even after 12 years, client “Booked!” messages still make my day.

Click around and you’ll quickly see how life-changing points can be.

Points transformed my life, and they can do the same for you.

The Beginning

1983Born in North Dakota, grew up in Nebraska a typical kid playing sports.

1996Dad’s NatGeo arrived in the mail: Madrid vs. Barcelona. I was instantly invested in the battle. Then and there, I promised myself I’d visit some day.

2000 Told my parents I wanted study Spanish in Spain. They agreed! But I had to organize it. This was my first ever trip booking. Found a host family in Barcelona and flew alone across The Atlantic at 17. Those six weeks changed me. As if my life was only one room in the house, and a tiny room at that.

2001Was offered football scholarships but turned them down. I wanted to study abroad. Nervous and scared, I called my coach to break the bad news. He was disappointed but I knew something bigger was waiting for me.

Chasing Freedom

2001My travel future was uncertain…but I knew it would cost money. Scrapped together funds. Laundromat attendant, toll booth worker, delivery driver, medical interpreter. Even donated plasma more times than was wise.

2002Backpacked Central America and Mexico, then moved to Costa Rica to finish university. Discomfort was real, safety never guaranteed. Money always elusive, I found a shady call center job and was paid cash under the table. The developing world was the best education I ever received.

2006Landed ‘dream job’ as student recruiter for a study abroad company. Visited European universities, earned Program Director position in Costa Rica. Great experience but learned ‘dream’ and ‘job’ were two separate things.

2009With some savings to my name, quit job to bicycle across South America. A paradigm shift happened pedaling humid jungles and steep mountains between Colombia and Argentina. I felt a kid again.

2011Two and half years later, trip abruptly ended in Buenos Aires. Was it a dream? I wasn’t ready to wake up. I wanted this type of freedom in my life forever. That meant sorting out the money situation. Again.

A Better Way To Travel

2011From my apartment in Buenos Aires and with a dwindling $5,000 in the bank, I asked an unconventional question: “How can I travel for free?”

I treated the internet like a gold mine. Long sessions to dig deeper. Late nights buried in obscure point forums felt like discovering secret pockets of truth.

Hidden communities online were sharing a completely different way to travel.

I compiled this knowledge into a repeatable system, and put it into practice.

2012 I became instantly rich and successful! Just kidding. I used my last remaining funds to pay for a truck driving course, drove to the North Dakota oil fields, slept in my car for a month while handing out resumes, and worked odd jobs for the next 2.5 years. Why? Because my 6-week on, 2-week off schedule allowed me to fly around the world every other month....

The Birth of MileMethod

2012–14I visited all the places I had dreamed about as a kid: Asia, Europe, Africa, Caribbean. Everywhere (yes, Madrid and Barcelona too). I’d pick a place on the map and fly there. Average flight cost: $18. Free hotels on arrival.

2014Friends started asking how I was traveling so much. Then friends of friends. Then strangers. I helped them all, first alone, then later with my team. This is how MileMethod evolved into the business you see today.

2014–Present800+ clients have traveled The MileMethod Way.

They book luxury honeymoons and vacations at 1/10th retail prices.

They stay in $1,000+ per night hotels, for free.

They fly Business across oceans for less than an Uber ride.

They are rich in points, in money saved, and in experiences.

They are Million Milers, just like me.
I hope you’ll join us. It’s beautiful out here.
